Where this list comes from
The ranking and the grouped word forms come from doozan/spanish_data, which credits FrequencyWords. That corpus is built from film and television subtitles, which is why it leans towards speech rather than writing. English meanings and the region and register labels come from Wiktionary through the same repository. Both are CC BY-SA, and so is this list.
It is a study order for Spanish generally, not a measurement of Argentine speech. The Rioplatense layer is read out of the same corpus rather than asserted: a form is marked vos only when it is the regular voseo form and it actually occurs, so tenés and andá are marked while vas, which tú shares, is not. A word is marked Rioplatense when Wiktionary labels one of its meanings that way. The RAE’s CORPES lemma lists by country are the Argentine-specific reference, but they are built from press texts rather than conversation, so they are linked here rather than merged in.
“In your lessons” matches a word form against the Spanish in your reviewed notes. It says the form appeared, not that the lesson taught the word. Eight entries the upstream dictionary was missing — the preposition a and the courtesy abbreviations — carry glosses written here. Pronunciation uses your device’s own Spanish voice, preferring an Argentine one; no audio is stored.
